Participation Policy​

Defy Gravity instructors have full discretion to ask students to observe or excuse students from classes whose behavior they deem disruptive or whom they deem unsafe to participate for any reason. If necessary, the student will not be allowed to continue taking classes at Defy Gravity.

Young Adult Participation Policy

Defy Gravity classes are designed for adults and adult bodies. Young adults are allowed to attend select drop-in classes and/or private lessons only after a brief meeting with the studio manager and the parent/guardian. For aerial and pole classes, young adults ages 16 and older may attend select classes. Certain classes, such as Burlesque and Embrace Your Sexy, are restricted to those 18 years of age or older. Young adults ages 13 to 15 may be eligible for private lessons on a case-by-case basis. Email us to schedule a meeting with the manager BEFORE booking a class for your young adult.

Attire Policy

Students should wear appropriate workout attire. (a sports bra or tight-fitting shirt and shorts for pole fitness or leggings, leggings or tights for aerial arts). For safety reasons, no jewelry is allowed. Please do not use lotion on the day of class as this will cause you to slip. All students must sign consent waivers before the first class.

Refund and Expiration Policy

All Defy Gravity class purchases expire 90 days after the date of package or class purchase. All purchases (including but not limited to: classes, workshops, apparel, private lessons etc.) are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

Safety Policy

Pole fitness and aerial arts are physically and mentally demanding, and many classes have minimum fitness requirements. You should be in good physical condition to take classes with these fitness requirements. Defy Gravity reserves the right to require a written permission from your doctor if deemed necessary by instructors.

Sign Up Policy

​Students must sign up with our Punchpass Online system in advance for all classes and instruction. All reservations are held until class begins. All class purchases are non-transferable to another date or person.

Late Arrival Policy​

We ask you arrive to class 5 minutes early. Due to COVID-19 safety precautions we are not letting students into the studio until 5 minutes before class starts. Please practice social distancing while you wait and as we allow each student into the studio. To prevent any "bottle necks" we ask that aerial students bring all of their items with them and place them in the Flex room before class. 

Availability Policy

All classes and instructors are subject to availability. We do our best to accommodate schedules, but please note that instructors may substitute for some classes. We add and remove classes based on interest and enrollment.

Discount Code Misuse Policy

We reserve the right to charge the client a $20 code misuse fee to any client caught misusing any discount code.

Cancellation Policy

Instructors reserve the right to cancel any class section that does not have at least 2 participants by 12 noon of the same day for evening classes, or 8am of the same day for morning and afternoon classes. If your class is cancelled, you will be notified by email. Please make sure your email is listed in your Punchpass account. If you would like to be notified by phone or text, please make sure that your phone number is listed in your Punchpass account.

Client Cancellation and No-Show Fees

Because DG's classes have a very limited capacity, late cancelling and no-shows adversely affect other students, preventing them from taking classes. Late cancellations and no-shows are highly discouraged and carry the following fees:
